Wednesday Update

A Wednesday night. I still need to finish my Java lab for the week. I've finished the first three parts. I only have one more section to finish. It shouldn't be too bad.

I'm going to attend the Journalism departments screening of their documentary projects. It should be interesting. Matt said he is going to try and attend also.

Mary Beth had an interview today. She seemed to like the company. It's was for a small graphic design company. They still haven't given her much information on the company itself. They are going to get back to her by the middle of next week. I want to know what they are going to offer her. We'll see.

In a week and a half I get to go to a wedding. I'm not sure it is going to be all that fun. I haven't been to a wedding since my Uncle Jon got married. That was probably about six years ago. I'm not even sure what I'm going to wear. I also need to get a gift still. I have even less of an idea of what to get. Oh well.

I'm not sure if I've said this before but over break I'm going to start redesigning my web site. I'll probably keep a lot of the stuff that I currently have, but I'll just change it so it has a little bit more color and style. I also plan to add a few pictures. So far I have gotten by without including almost any pictures.

Oh well, life is good.

My brother also got into Madison. So, now he needs to figure out where he is going to live next year. Hopefully, Shenaz can give him suggestions.

Late Night at Work

I'm getting ready to go to sleep after another night working at the hotel. I made $12 in tips. No bad considering I usually don't get any.

I both like and don't like working a night shift and then having to turn around and work a morning shift. It doesn't give you alot of time to sleep. I usually get about 4 hours. The guests in the morning can't believe that I'm still at work.

Oh well, I should go to bed. I get to work on a new Java programing assignment tomorrow. I hope to get a good start on it. It's going to take awhile. I've so far only set up the first three classes. I still need to create the interface and then test to see if everything works right.

Now I'm going to bed. Bye.

Thursday Update

So, it' s a Thursday. I turned in my Ethics paper on the Food Lion case. Don't worry if you don't know what I'm talking about. The paper was only suppose to be three pages long and mine ended up spilling on to a fifth page. I probably could have made it go for ten pages if I had changed the settings to their largest size that the class allowed.

I also got back my Ethics mid-term today. I ended up with a C. A regular old flat C. However, I have already completed enough extra credit to change the grade to a flat (one whole grade higher). Sounds good to me.

I also got back my Hitchcock paper. I recieved a 92 out of a 100. That means an A. I wasn't so sure about how this paper was going to turn out. I guess I didn't need to worry to much about it.

Believe it or not I also got back my Interviewing mid-term too. I ended up with a B+. Not bad, but I was hoping for better. It's an easy class.

My Java mid-term didn't go as well as I thought it was going to. The mid-term had five questions on it. I only finished four of them. I barely had any time left to even start the last problem. I don't think it will affect my final grade to much in the class though. The mid-term was only worth fifteen percent. So one problem is only worth three percent o fmy final grade. I can still get a A in the
class.

My next Java assignment looks like it is going to be tough. It is one long problem that creates a accounting program. I can not wait to wake up early and go to lab. Yeah.

This week is Madison's spring break. So, Shenaz should be in town. I haven't had a chance to see if she is around yet.

I'm going to go to sleep now. Later.

More Late Night Programming

So, it's two in the morning. I just finished one of my home work assignments for my Java class. It was inly suppose to take an hour. It took me about 3 and a half hours. I don't think my teacher thinks about the difficulty level. My T.A also likes to add extra sections to each of the problems in the lab. This was the fourth problem in a set of six. I saved it until last.

Homework Overload

So, it's Sunday. I called in sick to work today. Oh well. I have alot of stuff to do in the next week. Two mid-terms and a lit-review plus Java programming and homework along with the other assorted fun college work. I am going to try and get ahead today. We'll see how that goes.

Late Night Java Programming

So it's almost two in the morning. I just finished the first two parts of my java lab. The one that I need to attend at 8AM in the morning tomorrow. This should be fun. The lab has a total of six sections. The first two were only suppose to take an hour total. Lucky me I ended up taking almost three hours. I most likely will not end up staying in lab for long tomorrow. Just long enough to see if any of the problems have changed.

This next week of school is probably going to kill me. I have two mid-term tests, a lit. review with ten sources, this java lab, java homework assignment, watch a Hitchcock movie "Rope" (I'm not going to look up underline) and other stuff I can't remember right now. I don't plan to sleep much this next week.

Oh well. I'm going to go to bed now so I can think straight in the morning. I'll put up links to my old java assignments with descriptions sometime soon. That way other people can see how I waste my time late at night.
